Ramos Operated on Successfully
Team GOELEVEN rider will be back on the grid soon
Roman Ramos was successfully operated on in Bilbao on Monday to correct the fracture the Spanish rider suffered to his left hand during Friday practice at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola. The Santander native trusted the surgery to José Ignacio Azurmendi at the Clinica IMQ Zorrotzaurre and now faces a 2 week recovery period to get back the full use of his hand.
“The doctors are very happy with how everything went,” explained the rider to WorldSBK.com. “The prognosis is that it will take around 2 weeks to recover properly, so I may recover in time to race in Malaysia. It all depends how this week goes, so we’ll see.”
“If the recovery is quick I might be in Sepang, but I would prefer to concentrate on making sure it heals properly and not cause any further issues…so that I can come back at Donington in perfect health.”
Malaysia hosts WorldSBK from the 13th to 15th of May as the grid take on the 5.5 kilometers of Sepang International Circuit south of Kuala Lumpur.
